Artificial Intelligence or AI with reference to healthcare systems means calculating and predicting the human condition using various software and algorithms, removing the need for human interaction. The goal for AI in healthcare is mostly to prevent and treat various conditions while keeping track of the patient’s response. There are various AI programs that have been created to tackles these problems and have also been applied to developing treatment protocol, personalized drug administrations and patient monitoring and care.

It is predicted that artificial intelligence will transform healthcare further as it changes the relationship between human beings and technology. Most of the world’s best doctors work in urban hubs of developed nations, so access to proper treatment in underdeveloped regions is very limited. With AI, the need for having practitioners in these regions can be reduced as machines perform the functions normally done by doctors. For example, when using AI to administer C-rays or CT scans, the results are significantly better, and this function can be performed with a single touch of a finger on an app.
4. Antibiotic Resistance
The overuse of antibiotic medicine is increasing resistance all over the world. This is a major threat to the heath of many, especially now that we know of multidrug-resistant organisms. By utilizing electronic health records, these organisms can be studied and their patterns recorded. This can also highlight at-risk patients and provide them with the necessary treatment in time. Moreover, the use of AI in this way will make the process of accessing and understanding data much more efficient to minimize time spent on diagnosis and maximize it for treatment.
5. Intelligence in Medical Devices and Machines
Introducing AI in medical appliances that detect the onset of contamination, collapse or even the development of a complication will substantially increase the chances of saving a patient’s life. It will also reduce the expenditures of hospitals related to their condition penalties. Here, the role of intelligent algorithms can reduce the burden on physicians as well.
